I watch the leaves crumple under my shoes their colors brilliant and bright from having just dropped they once looked so full and ready to grow further like perhaps they could grow strong enough to become branches but despite their efforts they lay damp and dirty, spread across the cold cement. The trees I look at hold perhaps two or three little leaves clinging on for dear life but the leaves have no say over the trees whose braches squirm in the wind much like a person drowning. eventually, they too must go.

Leaves like fallen flowers Strewn on the wet, grey concrete They sag and clump Like old lungs, black from just one too many cigarettes Somehow there’s still beauty in them. Is it wrong to love eating salad with CHOP STICKS? My boyfriend thinks I've become obsessed with them. You see, two months ago I bought some stainless steel square ones, and they are awesome, and I love eating with them! He was like "are you going to eat pie and soup and ice cream with them?" and I was like "BRING IT BUDDY! DO IT!"

And when we went for sushi on Friday and sat down and he opens his chop sticks (bamboo) and rolls them together in his hand and out pop my stainless chop sticks, which made him laugh at me. Our hostess was IN LOVE WITH ME because I BROUGHT MY OWN STICKS! LOL "You speak Japanese too?" she asked with a big smile (they're all Japanese there, even the orders are written in Japanese) and unfortunately I do not but I thought of you and I said "Can you wait a minute, I have a friend who does!"
